Setauket and East Setauket sit in the Three Village area alongside Stony Brook and Old Field. This is some of the most historic ground on Long Island. During the Revolution, Setauket was the base of the Culper Spy Ring, George Washington's intelligence network, and the real history behind the show Turn.
Today it is a quiet North Shore community with a preserved village green, the Caroline Church from 1729, and one of the strongest school districts on the island. There is no station in Setauket itself, though Stony Brook is about five minutes away. For a flight with luggage, most people skip that hop and book a car service to the door instead.
